The beats that we’re talking about come from ‘Adagio For Strings’. Tiësto has been the genius behind a lot of iconic tracks over the years of his career, but this one takes the cake for easily being the most iconic. There’s some tracks that have defined us as electronic fans, and this is probably a lot of people’ all the way back in 2004 in all of it’s nearly 8 minute long glory on the ‘Just Be’ album, 2020 marks the 16th year of it being out in the world. back in 2013, Mixmag had it down as the second greatest dance track of all time (just behind Daft Punk’s ‘One More Time’) and it’s no wonder. There are very few songs that can still get as massive of a crowd reception 16 years on, but ‘Adagio For Strings’ is the pinnacle of original journey began back in 1936, when American composer Samuel Barber premiered the original orchestral version of ‘Adagio For Strings’ that very year, and back then it had garnered amazing critical reception with one even dedicating over 20 pages to the arrangement.
